First Quilt

My husband had a baby shower to attend while I was visiting my mom's. I was in the process of making a quilt for the baby I was expecting, but stopped to put this together for my husband to give. This is my first completed quilt. I used a quilt my sister made for my oldest and copied her technique. I chalked some flower shapes on the back and sewed those for the quilting. It is not the proper way I am sure, but I needed to get it done and sent in the mail.

Using the scraps I made some burp cloths. The girl told my husband it was one of the sweetest things she received. She could tell a lot of time went into them and she uses the burp clothes quite frequently.
