Pirate Princess Quilt

My purple and black Pirate Princess quilt
Okay, so these are far from baby colors, but since I am not a pastel person I had to pass along my favor for rich colors. This quilt, I made for an expecting friend. Actually she was in the hospital recovering from a c-section when I finished this. Wow, I am a procrastinator.
This was my first attempt at free motion quilting. I had to walk away for a bit. I scared myself. Halfway through I found my groove. I definitely impressed myself with this one. I can't wait to try again.
